College the Smart Way: Towson University in Northeastern Maryland

Towson University, at its Northeastern Maryland location, has developed a unique approach to earning a bachelor’s degree AND saving money. Through innovative partnerships with Harford and Cecil County’s community colleges, we offer students in Northeastern Maryland the opportunity to transition smoothly into a bachelor’s degree program after completing an associate degree.

Towson University in Northeastern Maryland (TUNE), located on the grounds of Harford Community College at 510 Thomas Run Road in Bel Air, offers exceptional academic opportunities provided by professors who are leaders in their field. All of the courses necessary to earn the bachelor’s degree in a selected major are offered at the TUNE facility, which means students don’t have to travel far to finish their program.

Towson University in Northeastern Maryland offers programs designed to prepare students for success in today’s rapidly changing workplace. Choose from the following programs:

· Business Administration (Leadership and Management concentration) (B.S.)

· Communication Studies (B.S.)

· Family and Human Services (Services to Children and Youth track) (B.S.)

· Information Technology (B.S.)

· Integrated Early Childhood Education/Special Education (B.S.)

· Integrated Elementary Education/Special Education (B.S.)

· Nursing (A.T.B. & R.N. to B.S.)

· Psychology (B.S.)

· Sociology-Anthropology (Criminal Justice concentration) (B.S.)

Additional program offerings are being planned for the future. Coming soon is the B.S. in Health Care Management.

At Towson University in Northeastern Maryland, learning takes place in state of the art classrooms and labs. Students work side-by-side with professors and mentors on high-level research and during internships with top area corporate, government and non-profit employers. Students also have the opportunity to engage in extensive programing and activities organized by fellow students to build community and expand on individuals’ leadership skills.
